Slowly getting my creativity back

There's two posts today, so be sure to scroll down!!
My daughter had a birthday party this weekend and I had a card started with just the tree stump so I decided to whip up a quick bday card. I absolutely love the new Scattered Showers Additions by PTI! I also got the idea to color the owl girlie colors from an old post of Lauren Meader. And, just in case you are wondering, the F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S tree is from CTMH.
Thanks for stopping by!

Bad blogger

Ok, I admit it.... I have been a bad blogger lately. I apologize to those of you (I think there's two of you ) that take the time to stop by. Things have been a bit rough in my work life, but they look to be turning around soon. So i'd like to focus this post on some of the things that bring joy to my life. Here a just a couple shots from the summer that bring a smile to my face.
  • I am truely blessed.
  • I have two wonderful, happy, healthy, smart, Christian kids. I am so proud of them!!!
  • I have the best, most supportive husband and on top of that he does laundry!
  • I may not have a lot of friends, but the ones I have are the best! They know just what to say, provide an ear when you need it and don't get mad when you haven't talked to them in a while.
  • Now for a few pictures that make me smile......
The kids are just sitting on the deck waiting for me to finish making their lunch. It was the neatest moment to just see them content, talking and hanging out together; no fussing, no fighting and no drama. So i'm usually the one behind the camera, but here I let Douglas take the shot. Can't you just smell the sunscreen and chlorine? :) The kids are back in school and we've almost got the first two weeks under out belt; woo hoo! 1st & 7th grade... my how time flies. Her smile is just too cute for words, with that wiggly top front tooth that she just can't stomach to keep wiggling because it hurts. Don't mistake the 7 fingers for gang signs. It took me a minute to make the connection, he's just so excited to start the 7th grade! Ahh just look at that afro! TTFN
