Christmas in July

Today my great husband and daughter tagged along on a treasure hunt at antique stores. We were in search of early Christmas presents, comic books and of course crafting supplies!!! I was estatic when I cam across a flower frog for $4!!! I snactched it up. THEN..... I found another one. The dealer said $2, but his wife said $1. You can see my $1 treasure in the photo below. So after a day of scouring antique stores for treasures today I decided to make a card to fit both a Christmas in July challenge over at Jill's blog as well as the Papertrey PALs challenge to use a stamp set I have never inked up. I had yet to ink up my anniversary set from PTI and the sentiment from last years set had not been inked up either. Supplies Paper: PTI (Ocean Tides, Pure Poppy), Neenah White Ink: PTI (Ocean Tides, Pure Poppy), CTMH (White Daisy) Stamps: PTI (Round and Round, Everyday Classics) Other: PTI Texture Plate (Tin Type) Foam Tape, Gems

Card Tag & Button Rings

So a quick post on a couple of totally unrelated topics! First up, here is my card from the recent round of card tag hosted by Alicia. What is card tag you ask? It's like a classica game of telephone, but instead you start with a card, which is passed to the next person who takes inspiration from it. You can see the entire round from beginning to end here on Alicia's blog....very interesting!
Next.... I ordered some fabulous button rings from Jennifer's Ink Spot on Etsy. You must check out her rings. They are AMAZING!!! Here's pictures of the rings that I ordered. (All you PTI lovers out there, Jennifer had me at Aqua Mist and Rasberry Fizz in her descriptions. That's all it took!)
Large rings are really trendy and have been for a couple of years. I love the look, but my ring size is so hard to find. The great thing about Jennifer is they are made to order! I highly recommend her!

CPS Sketch #176

So I decided to take part in the CPS Sketch #176. (sorry the sketch image is so small). I REALLY love how this card turned out. Are you tired of this cute little car yet? I seem to be using it on everything!!!
Although you can't see it too well in the picture, the license plate says Happy Birthday in a lime green ink. I recently aquired the PTI Envelope Liner die and am so loving it! I used it here to create a matching evelope to go with this cute birthday card for one of my Aunts whose birthday is next week.
Supplies
Stamps: PTI (Enjoy the Ride)
Paper: Basic Grey (Lime Rickey), PTI (Orange Zest)
Ink: Palette (Black), PIT (Lemon Tart), CTMH (Citrus Leaf)

Inspiration all around you

So Sunday at church a little girl had THE cutest dress ever. It was white with a blarge brown pattern, then accented with a bright pink ribbon at the waiste and a bright pink bolero jacket. I was so inspired that I came home and created this beauty.
Have you seen all those hand made paper flowers cropping up everywhere? I decided to try my hand at it after discovering, oh yeah... I had a set of graduated flower dies. LOL! I spritzed them lightly with water and then crumpled them up, unfolded them and let them dry. It's so blazing hot here in KS that it didn't take long.

I just LOVE how this card turned out, have to say I was pretty pleased with myself. ;) Now I only wish I had take a picture of the dress!

Supplies

All supplies are PTI unless otherwise noted.

Stamps: Cup Cake Collection, Turning a New Leaf

Cardstock: Raspberry Fizz, Brown & White (Neenah)

Other: Button (Making Memories), Small Scallop Border die, Flower Dies (Provo Craft)

Red, White & Blue Challenge

Over at Happily Ever Crafter, Ted issued Challenge #8 -use red, white & blue. Although the spirit is patriotic, I didn't want to create a typical 4th of July card, as the 4th of July has since passed.
I thought this would be a great opportunity to use the new embossing folder (you know, that I had to have!). I just love this car from PTI's Enjoy The Ride! Did you know PTI also has a die that cuts out the car too!!! Oh I'm in love!!!

Thanks for stopping & Enjoy the Ride!

ATC Glimmer Challenge #1 attempt 2

So I didn't read the challenge criteria closely and failed to meet all the requirements with my Welcome Little One card, here. I am not defeated however and quickly got to work to meet the requirements. After burning the midnight oil and a scrapped first attempt, I came up with this card.
I was over joyed to discover the new doodlebug paper i recently purchased fit all the color criteria for the Challenge. This also gave me a reason to use the sueded like doodlebug paper I collected, I mean purchased awhile back.

Supplies

Paper: doodlebug, Neenah - White

Stamps: Papertrey Ink (Cupcake Collection)

Ink: Palette Black, Copic

Other: Papertrey Ink (Polkad Dt Basics II Impression Plate), Unknown (Ribbon, Pearls)

Told you I had my mojo.....

Here are a couple more cards I made this weekend. First up is a super fun birthday card I made for a member of my team at work. I have never put these colors together before, but Rasberry Fizz & Summer Sunrise (PTI) are fabulous together! This card features A Day at the Beach. It's such a fun set. Here's a close up to see the glitter detail on the margharita as well as the strip on the inside of the card. Next up is another birthday card for a work birthday. I so toiled over buying Enjoy the Ride; I even held back and didn't buy it release night. But it was calling my name and I couldn't resist.

A delightful discovery when creating this card - CTMH Juniper ink and cardstock was a perfect match for DCWV Linen stack. (Yes Alicia - I fell in love with it too!) This card is based on the TESC117 Sketch. Didn't get it done in time to enter, but loved the sketch anyway!

Tatoo Birthday & PPD Challenge #11

Here's a card I made for my sort of nephew. My brother has been dating a very special woman for several years and she has a son, so that's where the sort of comes from. :) I was challenged to create a non-standard sized card over at PPD Challenge #11. I think this fits the bill as I hardly ever make letter sized cards.
Here I used Free Spirit-Boy by Waltzing Mouse Stamps for the images and Birthday Basics by PTI for the sentiment.

Reclaimed my mojo!

I have reclaimed my crafy mojo! I have been turning out cards this weekend like nobodies busienss. First up is a card and onsie ensemble I created for a long time friend who recently had a baby boy! It's based on ATC's Glimmer Challenge #1. I chose to use the Skecth and Specific Embellishment (Bear).
Click on the images below to see them a bit larger.
The card is larger than an A2, I think it's A4. I used Baby Button Bits, A Little Argyle & Heart Prints Sentiments - All PTI of course!
This was the first time I tried coloring on fabric with my copics. I think this ensemble turned out so cute. I can't wait to mail it off.

Blessings

Today has started out so great I just have to share! I helped out my hubby's family with an agenda/program for their family reunion this weekend. Me and my super collator (Reanne) put them together. A cousin picked them up this AM and was thrilled! She also gave Reanne and I a little blessing for our efforts! THEN!!! I jumped over to Club Anya & Friends and found out I was the winner for their July blog hop! OMG I will recieve the following stamps in rubber Creeper Monday, Wednesday, and the NEW Oliver/Amelia set, "Journey". I'm not sure this day can get any better!
