Final SheetLoad Post

It seems so weird and sad to type the title of this post. It's been so rewarding being a designer for Alicia and her SheetLoad ezine. It really allowed me to strecth my creative muscles in ways I never would have had I not been a part of this design team. Thank you Alicia for such a great opportunity. I'd also like to thank all the sketch artists and sponsors; you are all great!!
Now onto my final card for December SheetLoad. It's very fitting that I am posting this today, as this is the card I am giving my husband for our anniversary today. I just love these two elephants from Doodle Palace!
Instead of using pattern paper for all 3 background pieces, I substituted solid cardstock that I ran through my Cuttlebug with some embossing folders. I think it turned out really great. Now i need to fill the inside for my hubby. Thanks for stopping by!

SheetLoad Simple Special Stunning & a Holiday Treat Purse

It is time for the December edition of Simple Special Stunning at the SheetLoad of Cards blog, featuring samples by Denise Wallace.
Each month one of our artists will share three different cards that use the current layout. Each card is a "step up" from the previous one, but they are all fabulous. It is a good way to show how SheetLoad is geared toward papercrafters of all levels. Here are some sneak peeks to whet your appetite...
I also have another one of my creations for you as well! This is my beyond the card; a Holiday Treat Purse. Since I have thousands (ok so I am embellishing for story telling purposes), of Papertrey Ink stamp sets, that means I have thousands of the clear boxes them come it. I knew i wanted to try out an idea Nichole Heady posted awhile back, here.

This was super easy and a great way to go green with your crafting! I ended up making 2 of these (you know because there were 2 halves!) and filled them with some tubes of bath confetti & some homemade chocolate covered pretzle sticks. I'll be giving them to the secretaries at school tomorrow for my daughters last day before break.

Here's just a close up of the penguin image. Thanks for stopping by!

ROAR!!!

Here's another creation from this months issue, which is the final issue of SheetLoad. I have to say as soon as I heard Doodle Palace was the sponsor I immediately went and checked out their site and fell in love with this Lion. I littlerally squealed with joy when I found out it was one of the images provided to the Designers. :) Here's a close up of the ears. I printed 3 versions of the Lion as I used 3D foam tape to create dimension with his mane and ears.

SheetLoad - Autumn Blessings, Cast All Your Cares & Enjoy The Moment

Today I have three cards to share with you from the November issue of Sheetload. First up is one of my favorites! It uses Papertrey Ink Autumn Blessings stamp set. Fall is one of my favorite seasons and I just love all the colors of leaves!
Next we have the card that really started my inspiration for the sketch. It's just a flat card, so no fold over on this one. It's really hard to see, but on the right hand side i used a stamp from Papertrey Ink Damask Designs along with Versamark Dazzle Ink.
The final card I have for you today also uses a Papertrey Ink stamp sets; Mega Mixed Messages & Guidelines II. The beautiful humming bird is Inkadinkadoo.

Miss You....

Here's another card featured in this month's SheetLoad. You know you don't HAVE to stick with a literal interpretation of the sketch? I know, who knew!!! A sketch is designed to give you inspriation. I loved the background paper so much I didn't want to cover it up, so I lieu of covering it up I replaced one of the sketch elements with a circle of brads. To see a full list of supplies go check out the September issue of SheetLoad.

I have to start out with my favorite project using this month's SheetLoad skecth along with JessicaLynn Originals stamps. The stamp I have used here is digi stamp so I could make the image nice and large. I have to say the picture just doesn't do this justice....maybe I need to take a photography class. This photo in the layout is from several years ago and I just never had the right paper or embelishments to go with it, but this just worked perfectly! Be sure to visit SheetLoad to see this month's issue.
