Back 2 School

Since I can't volunteer at school during the day, I try to treat the teachers with crafted items to help make their day better. Every year at the end of school I would give the teacher a jar with their favorite snack. So it dawned on me, that I should give it at the beginning of the year and make sure it stays stocked throughout the year.
I found these jars at Dollar Tree for $2 and put in the teacher's favorite salty snack. I used a white gel pen to hand write teacher, the teacher last names and notes on each piece.
I found these cute containers at Target in the Dollar spot and they were 50% off! Love a good deal! Here I just wrapped cardstock and patterned paper around the middle, die cut a Nestie circle for the lid and some nestie stars for the tag, added an eyelet and tied to the container with PTI twine.
Lastly are some notepads and pens. I had some mini-legal pad cut in half vertically and then create a cute wrap around holder with a matching pen. It couldn't be a back to school post with out a picture of the kids!

Just Inspirational Challenges #6

So this week I stumbled upon Just Inspirational Challenges and thought I'd give it a whirl. I had started this card awhile back but just didn't quite know how to finish it. I was quite pleased to find that it fit all the criteria for the challege - Purple Tones, Sparkels & Texture. The challenge motivated me to come up with the sentiment and it's placement on the card. I hope you can see all the shimmer in the cardstock and on the Mermaid Anya. Supplies Cardstock: PIT(Plum Pudding, Aqua Mist) Neenah White Stamps: TGF (Mermaid Anya); PTI (Everday Classics) Ink: Pallet Black, Copic Other: PTI Impression Plate (Polka Dot Basics II), Fiskars Border Punch, Nestabilities, Making Memories Letter Stickers, Stickles, Purple Gems.

Pun-ny Challenge

So my good friend Alicia is hosting this week's challenge over at Whimsie Doodles - create a punny card. I hope these qualify! They are lunch box size cards. Now I know what you are thinking....surely she's not going to put these in her kids lunch! NO---- my hubby's lunch. :) Supplies Cardstock: PTI (Summer Sunrise, Lemon Tart, Soft Stone), Neenah White Stamps: PTI (Tiny Treats: Valentine) Ink: PTI (Summer Sunrise, Lemon Tart), Pallet Black, Copic

OTWC Challenge #19 - too late :(, but HEC - on time! :)

So I seem to be a day late and a dollar short.... I made the two cards below for Off The Wall Craftiness based on this image.
I just failed to realize the deadline, BUT the bright side is that I love the way these cards turned out! This image is a Studio G from Michael's, isn't it stunning! I really like the simplicity of these single layered cards.... which also happen to qualify to Happily Ever Crafter's challege this month to use only stamps or pens to create your card.

Supplies

Stamps: Studo G, PTI (Everyday Button Bits)

Ink: Pallet Black, Copic

Imaginisce Aug Sketch Challange

Ok...so it's been a loooooooooooooooooooooong time since I created a scrapbook page. When I saw Imanginisce's Aug sketch challenge I couldn't resist. I absolutely LOVE their paper and stamps!
Here I used the Splash Dance collection to create this layout featuring Reanne going off the high dive in her last swimming lesson this summer.
Although you can't tell, the Blowfish, Octopus & Dolphin, all colored with Copics, are raised off the page with 3D foam tape. The only product not Imaginisce is the felt letters (Making Memories) for the title, which add some great texture to the page.
