Happy Easter

So here is the card I made and sent to several family members for Easter. It is so amazing that "God gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall have everlasting life" John 3:16. I pulled out an oldie but goodie here -Stamps by Judith. The card is based on the Sketch 48 Bonus Sketch from 2Sketches4You. The Judith stamps are the basket, easter eggs and butterfly. I also used Mega Mixed Messages for the sentiment on the front and Everyday Blessings for the sentiment on the inside; both by Papertrey Ink. I tried a new technique for creating grass my friends Melissa & Alicia learned at a Copic class. It turned out not too bad. I'd also like to point out the glittering easter eggs below the card. I made those! I found a container of 8 wooden eggs at Hobby Lobby for 50% off. I then painted them (several coats ugh!) and then glittered them all up with Modge Podge. I also painted a wooden bird house and glittered it as well which sits on top of the eggs. It's a cute fun center piece.

2Sketches4You - Sketch 42

So most of the holiday decorations have come down today; just the garland left. My hubby took down all the oranments off the tree last night after I went to bed! Isn't he the best ever!!!! Here's a card I put together based on this weeks 2S4U. The decorative edge is one of my new, after the holiday's sale acuquisitions! I had some fun creating my own background using Papertrey Ink's Guidelines II. The sentiment is from Autumn Abundance.

  • Stamps: Guidelines II, Autumn Abundance (PTI)
  • Ink: Sweet Blush (PTI), Black (Palette), Daisy White (CTMH)
  • Cardstock: Sweet Blush (PTI), Kraft (unknown)
  • Ribbon: Sweet Blush (PTI)
  • Punch: Unknown (Martha Stewart)
  • Other: 3D foam tape

2Sketches4You - Laura's Sketch 12

Here's this weeks sketch from 2Sketches4You.
I decided to use the punch that I HAD to have. (wink) I've used some of my favorite DCWV paper, one of my new vellum flowers (folded in half under the U), and two buttons to make some super cute cherries. Thanks for looking!!
And just in case you were wondering, I intentionally took this picture on my stove. ;)

2 Sketches 4 You

I tried my hand this week at both the weekly sketch and the bonus sketch. I made one minor adjustment - I rotated the weekly sketch.....

I LOVE the googlie eyes!

To achieve the scalloped edge I placed one end of my card half way into a Nestabilities scalloped Circle.
