Shortcuts Sponsors 2 Sketches 4Y ou

This week ShortCuts, the sister site of SheetLoad, is the sponsor this week over at 2 Sketches 4 You.
This was a great opportunity for me bust out my new PTI stamp set A Day At The Beach and the punch that I had to have, Boundary Waters. I just love the way this card turned out. It's the perfect use for a ShortCuts Clear Card Blank!

Bucket o' Cakepops

So my son needed some treats for a part last week and I need no better excuse to make some cakepops! I haven't quite mastered them, but the kids liked them. I had a yellow cake and thought it would be fun to add food coloring, so I put orange in it. Don't ask me why I picked orange, but it turned out really cool. I found the little buckets at Target in their $1 Spot, placed a florist foam block in the bottom and then added some green basket filler. They were a hit!

Card Tag

I recently participated in a round of card tag host by Alicia. What fun! It starts with one card that is then passed to the next participant who pulls inspiration from it, creates their own card, which is then passsed to the next participant and so on. Be sure to check out Alicia's blog for the entire chain of cards.
Here's my card. I pulled inspiration from the layout, scalloped circles and the bird theme from the previous card. It was so fun!

Busy Bee

Since I had today off I made the most of the opportunity and stayed up late (insanely late) to craft. I whipped out all of my mother's day cards. So here it goes, this is a long post. This first card is for the Spring Fling Challenge over at Nichole's Blog. I got my inspiration from Lisa. I just LOVED the field of tulips. These colors were so fantastic together.
Stamps: Papertrey Ink (Boxes Bags & Tags, Women of Life, Friends Til the End), Ink: Papertrey Ink (Berry Sorbet, Plum Pudding), Copic Markers, Spica Pen; Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Plum Pudding, Pure Poppey, White (recylced insert from cardstock); Other: Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, 3D Foam Adnesive; Labels 4 Nestabilities
This next card is based on Taylor's Sketch Challenge.
Supplies Stamps: Papertrey Ink (Scattered Showers, Women of Life), Ink: Papertrey Ink (Berry Sorbet, Pure Poppy), CTMH (Sweet Leaf), Spica Pen; Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Berry Sorbet, Aqua Mist, White (recylced insert from cardstock), Basic Grey (Patchwork Quilt); Other: Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, 3D Foam Adnesive; Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities
These next two cards are based on Card Patterns Sketch #13. I am so in love with the Basic Grey Urban Prairie Collection. It has all of my favorite colors. It's just stunning!
Stamps: Papertrey Ink (Boxes Bags & Tags, Women of Life), Ink: Papertrey Ink (Berry Sorbet, Summer Sunrise), CTMH (Sweet Leaf); Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Berry Sorbet, White (recylced insert from cardstock), Basic Grey (Patchwork Quilt); Other: Fiber, Flower & Brad from stash, Labels 4 Nestabilities
Finally, last but not least, is a card based on CPS Sketch #114. Again, I can't say enough about this Basic Grey Collection!!!! Supplies Stamps: Papertrey Ink (Wise Owl, Garden of Life, Women of Life), Ink: Papertrey Ink (Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush, Pure Poppy), CTMH Marker (Sweet Leaf), Copic Markers, Spica Pen; Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Lemon Tart, White (recylced insert from cardstock), Basic Grey (Meadow); Other: Gems, 3D Adhesive Tape, Labels 1 Nestabilities
